It seems that it’s finally happening. Calendars are filling up, people are booking flights, making plans, choosing between tours since everyone is going out at the same time. It’s that actual moment we have been waiting for.

Or is it?

Things have changed, whether we want to admit it or not. It seems the vast majority of humans are ready to just leave Covid 19 completely in the past. But it has, and will continue to have, long lasting effects on our particular industry.

Lest we forget, Covid still very much is a thing. And rules are still subject to change. Granted, most places are completely restriction free at this point or quickly loosening restrictions. But this doesn’t mean we’re out of the woods just yet.

Depending on the size of the production, location, management, venues, etc., Covid protocols could still very much dictate what happens to you on the road.

But beyond that, we have all of that fun Brexit stuff many of us will now have to truly deal with. Oh and lest we forget, a horrendous war is still very much ongoing claiming so many innocent lives and destroying beautiful cities and towns while also reaping havoc on global economies.

So what is your expectation versus the reality? Do you feel completely confident in your booked dates for the rest of the year? Are you accounting for the fact that a tour could potentially end at any time? Or that dates could need to be made up after a tour, when you may have something else already booked?

There’s also a massive supply and demand shortage. Forget about getting a bus this year. Literally, just forget it. Crew is in great shortage due to so many leaving the industry after 2 years of uncertainty. Drivers are next to impossible to find, even if there WAS a bus available. How long until backline, sound and lights shortages come up? Or prices double or triple from one day to the next due to an unstable Global economy? Are you worried that you could be expendable?

We’ll discuss all this, and more in our next Live Talks. Click “Join Meeting” below.

As usual…. a few reminders.

This is an open forum and we want to hear from everyone who wants to speak. We LOVE the enthusiasm these bring out in everyone, but let’s be respectful to our fellow C.R.E.W members.

Please be sure to mute your mic upon entering the Zoom. Once we’re all in, we’ll go through a very brief introduction of our discussion topics and dive right in letting the conversation flow from there.

PLEASE use the little “raise your hand” emoji in the reactions bar located at the bottom of the Zoom screen if you’d like to say something and one of our moderators will call on you. Be sure to utilize the chat as well if you’d like to add something or share information with the rest of the participants.

The Zoom may be filmed and by attending, you agree to appearing in any future C.R.E.W Coalition free promotional based videos / photos shared on our platforms. We encourage participants to keep their camera on so we can see your beautiful faces, however you can always choose to keep your camera off if you prefer. We will always inform you ahead of time if and when we choose to post audio or video.

Finally, we encourage you to subscribe to our blog so you’re always the first person “in the know”.

AND DON’T FORGET TO JOIN THE CREW COALITION COMMUNITY as well as follow us on all other socials.
