For EPS32, we’re thrilled to bring back our experts in residence on all things Brexit and how it affects YOU, the Live Event Worker, Ian Smith of ukeartworks and Tim Brennan, the founder of Carry On Touring.

They’ll share with us the latest news in the seemingly never-ending hurdles that face our industry to make sure you are more than equipped and prepared for the next time you need to cross between the EU and the UK, as well as between anywhere else in the world and the UK. Carnets, work visas, merch claiming, cabotage updates, and UK funding for freelancers in the live events industry based in Britain are just some of the topics that will be covered.

We HIGHLY encourage you to check out both of these websites and come prepared with any questions you may have for these very knowledgable English gentlemen.

Also joining us on Monday, will be the one and only Suzi Green, founder of The Back Lounge and esteemed member of TPG and also, a kickass tour manager, if we do say so ourselves. And we do.

In Suzi’s own words,

The Back Lounge started in June 2020, when, feeling isolated during lockdown and missing my ‘touring family’, I started attending the online COVID ‘Come Together’ support group hosted by Backline in North America. Realising how massively beneficial it was to my well-being, I put a tentative post on Facebook, asking if anyone would be interested in a similar, European-based group and received 50 replies within 24 hours.

She’ll be on to discuss not only a little bit more about what The Back Lounge and TPG are all about and how you can get involved, but also about some very exciting new FREE workshops that she will be hosting along with some very esteemed members of the live touring industry over the next 3 months.

Here’s everything you need to know in the meantime:

So as you can see, we’ve got a lot to cover!

Remember, we start at 20:00 CET / 19:00 GMT-UTC/ 2PM EST / 11AM PST. We encourage you to come on time and stay for the whole thing, but we understand that life happens. So please…Jump in when you can, leave when you must. We’re just happy to see you there.

As usual…. a few reminders.

This is an open forum and we want to hear from everyone who wants to speak. We LOVE the enthusiasm these bring out in everyone, but let’s be respectful to our fellow C.R.E.W members.

Please be sure to mute your mic upon entering the Zoom. Once we’re all in, we’ll go through a very brief introduction of our discussion topics and dive right in letting the conversation flow from there.

PLEASE use the little “raise your hand” emoji in the reactions bar located at the bottom of the Zoom screen if you’d like to say something and one of our moderators will call on you. Be sure to utilize the chat as well if you’d like to add something or share information with the rest of the participants.

The Zoom will be filmed and by attending, you agree to appearing in any future C.R.E.W Coalition free promotional based videos / photos shared on our platforms. We encourage participants to keep their camera on so we can see your beautiful faces, however you can always choose to keep your camera off if you prefer. We will always inform you ahead of time if and when we choose to post audio or video.

Finally, we encourage you to subscribe to our blog so you’re always the first person “in the know”.

AND DON’T FORGET TO JOIN THE CREW COALITION COMMUNITY as well as follow us on all other socials.
