As many governments continue to flip, flop, struggle and backpedal while attempting to wrap their heads around and agree on how to handle the Delta variant, our livelihoods continues to suffer. Promises of openings in our industry only to be changed days or weeks later make it impossible to count on incoming work. Add to that the very real division of vaxxed versus unvaxxed and who can work or attend shows, and things are continuing to look bleak, depending on what your standards and beliefs are versus what the rules are stating. Then there’s the double standard for some events versus live music events being allowed to happen with seemingly any rules or regulations, clearly based on perceived monetary bias. It’s frustrating and can leave even the strongest of us who have been patiently waiting to get back to it, incredibly frustrated.

So what have you been doing to support yourself or better yourselves during the past 19 months or in between gigs? Have you taken on a job simply to pay the bills? Did you finally go and finish that degree? Or did you enroll in some courses to upskill or simply to pass the time? Have you struggled to figure out what kind of job you should be looking for after working so long in the business? Have you decided to leave the industry forever? Are you looking for a way to keep the balance in your life with job stability during times of crisis?

Join us tonight as we welcome career coaches Ariane Paras of Olympia Coaching as well as our very own Cerys Aedy as they ask the questions you need to think about when deciding what to do next.

We welcome anyone and everyone who has been struggling and even striving at any point during our industry’s challenges to attend this important Zoom. Even if you’ve stared to get back to work and are back at a feeling of security in your role, C.R.E.W Coalition is here to support you during any challenging time or crisis. It never hurts to have a back-up plan should you be forced to take a leave of absence from your live role due to unforeseeable circumstances, i.e health, injury, care of a loved one, natural disaster, etc.

We hope to see you there at 20:00 CEST / 19:00 BST / 2PM ST / 11AM PST.

Join the Zoom here.

As usual…. a few reminders.

This is an open forum and we want to hear from everyone who wants to speak. We LOVE the enthusiasm these bring out in everyone, but let’s be respectful to our fellow C.R.E.W members. Please be sure to mute your mic upon entering the Zoom. Once we’re all in, we’ll go through a very brief introduction of ourselves so we know who is in the room. One minute or less. We’ll kick off the conversation with a current topic and let the conversation flow from there. PLEASE use the little “raise your hand” emoji in the reactions bar located at the bottom of the Zoom screen if you’d like to say something and one of our moderators will call on you. Be sure to utilize the chat as well if you’d like to add something or share information with the rest of the participants.

The Zoom will be filmed and by attending, you agree to appearing in any future C.R.E.W Coalition free promotional based videos / photos shared on our platforms. We encourage participants to keep their camera on so we can see your beautiful faces, however you can always choose to keep your camera off if you prefer. We will always inform you ahead of time if and when we choose to post audio or video.

Finally, we encourage you to subscribe to our blog so you’re always the first person “in the know”.

AND DON’T FORGET TO JOIN THE CREW COALITION COMMUNITY as well as follow us on all other socials.
